Q: What was the project you are most proud of?
A: In 2000, Seton Hall University suffered a tragic dormitory fire, and we were called in to clean clothes and soft goods for more than 200 students. It was by far the largest job we had ever done. We worked around the clock to get the entire project done in 4 weeks, and then coordinated the delivery of these restored items to all the displaced students. I was extremely proud of our team's desire to do whatever it took to help these students get their lives back to normal during that terrible time.
Q: Is there anything you don't clean?
A: If it is made of some type of fabric, we clean it. At Fabric Renewal, we are looking for challenges. We want to clean the things that no one else wants or knows how to clean. In the last couple of years, we have invented ways to clean unusual things like car seats, high chairs, strollers, pack and plays, lampshades, lawn furniture, luggage, and wall hangings. Ask me again in six months and I am sure I will have more to add to the list.
Q: How would you describe Fabric Renewal's philosophy?
A: Joe DiMaggio was once asked why he always played so hard. He answered, "There is always some kid who may be seeing me for the first time. I owe him my best." The same is true withus. It doesn't matter how good our reputation is unless we always deliver our best. We are only as good as our last project.
